When is registration due?
Registration is accepted on a first-come, first-served basis for a couple of reasons:
It helps us when you register early because it aids us in planning and hiring our staff.
Due to space limitations, we must limit the number of campers we can register. Once registration is full we maintain a waiting list.
To entice you to register early, we suggest that you register by April 15 and take advantage of the early registration discount.

How much will it cost?
$200.00 per week.
If you pay by April 15, take the early registration discount and pay $185.00 per week

Does camp cost more this year?
NO! We hate raised fees just as much as you do! Unfortunately, due to factors that were beyond our control, in 2007, gym rental rates increased by 150 percent. We do everything we can to keep our costs down so we can continue to operate high-quality, affordable programs to the families in our community as well as to provide scholarships so kids they can attend camp even if their families cannot pay full price.

Is extended care available?
YES!
Takoma SportsCamps provides onsite aftercare until 4:00. You may pick up onsite at 4:00 or register your camper for Takoma Park Recreation Department's extended care program which ends at 6:00. At 4:00 campers who are registered with the Rec Department are walked by a member of our staff to Takoma Park Recreation Department’s Extended Care at the Takoma Park Community Center in the Takoma Park Municipal Building (map).  Cost per week is $15.00.
If your child will be going to Takoma Park Recreation Department’s program please remember to also register directly with the Recreation Department: (301) 891-7290

What happens on rainy days?
We make every attempt to play outside whenever possible. When we can't do that due to lightning, rain or other unsafe conditions, we use the gyms at Takoma Park Middle School for stations and games.

Does my child need to be an experienced player to have fun at camp?
Takoma Softball Camp is a camp for players of all abilities and levels of expertise. Players are grouped by age although we will make exceptions when necessary. Our goal is to make camp fun and a great place to learn more softball.
